THE PARKS & TRAILS OF HUMBER BAY SHORES
Humber Bay Shores is ideal for both young professionals and empty-nesters, with so much to see and do. With lots of green space and three waterfront parks, you can walk, jog or cycle with fantastic views. And with some of the best dog parks around, your furry pals are going to love it.
THE HUMBER BAY ARCH BRIDGE
The Humber Bay Arch Bridge is among Toronto's most iconic structures. It is easily one of the most photogenic spots in the city. The 456-foot-long bridge is always bustling with pedestrian traffic, cyclists and rollerbladers.
Built in 1994 as part of the Martin Goodman Trail, it allows the 1,400-kilometre path to continue west, connecting Sunnyside Park and Sir Casimir Gzowski Park with Humber Bay Shores.
The bridge consists of two 47-inch diameter pipes bent into twin arches and stands 70 feet above the ground. Its deck is suspended by 44 stainless-steel hangers, each 2 inches in diameter. The foundation consists of concrete-filled caissons which extend 98 feet below the ground.
