2150 Lake Shore - former Mr. Christie site owners roll out Phase 1 Development Plans
Monday Apr 25th, 2022
Progress! We have a Phase 1 Site Plan.
“2150 Lake Shore” – the former Mr. Christie site is being redeveloped into a mixed-use neighbourhood anchored by a new GO Station and TTC transit hub. Over six phases, 36 buildings will be built, adding about 7,500 new homes in various unit sizes and price points, as well as office and retail space to Humber Bay Shores.
Many community amenities are part of the plan, including a community recreation centre, two childcare centres, a public library, and two elementary schools.
The 1st phase will occupy two blocks along the east side of Park Lawn Rd from just above Lake Shore Blvd W and north to The Queensway and integrates the use of the new GO Station into the community. This is largely due to the City’s mandate that the GO Station be operational for the opening of phase 1.
The Phase 1 plan will introduce 7 towers to the area, consisting of two towers at 46 and 66 storeys, and five mid-rise buildings ranging from 9 to 13 storeys. 10% of the 1,358 residential units will be dedicated to affordable housing.
Here’s a peek at the recently released Site Plan for Phase 1 of this massive project that the developers have submitted to the City for approval.
Stay tuned for developments as they occur.
